Our S-3 water distribution and sanitary sewer collection systems contain over a combined 23 miles of underground piping, 243 main valves, 113 fire hydrants, a 100,000 gallon water tower, 4 sanitary sewer pump stations, and a .225 MGD Class B Activated Sludge Wastewater Treatment Facility to serve nearly 700 customers; as well as, provide drinking water to Pointe Aux Barques Township. PAASWA also operates a wastewater lab to conduct testing on our own treated wastewater prior to discharge and offers lab services to neighboring communities.

Tasked with the day to day operations, maintenance, and administration of our facilities, systems, and lab are EGLE licensed contract operators from Infrastructure Alternatives, Inc.

Treated Drinking Water is purchased from and supplied to our water distribution system by the Huron Regional Water Authority

PAASWA is governed by a 5 member board consisting of (4) members appointed by the Port Austin Village Council, and (1) member appointed by the Port Austin Township Board.
